If this proposal proceeds, the 8-storey towers would severely impact our suburb in the following ways:

• Severe Overshadowing and Visual Dominance - Many homes and gardens will lose natural sunlight permanently due to the height of the towers.

• Loss of Privacy - Elevated balconies could overlook Chandos Street and surrounding homes, exposing residents and families to constant surveillance.

• Child Safety Risk - Children playing in backyards will face increased risk of being observed or photographed by strangers.

• Traffic Chaos - Tower residents can only turn left onto Parramatta Road, pushing heavy traffic into local residential streets and worsening congestion on Ramsay Street, Parramatta Road, and Bland Street and all other streets nearby.

• Irreversible Heritage Damage - Removal of original gardens, mature trees, and rare plants will permanently destroy the historic integrity of the Yasmar Estate.

• Loss of Native Habitat - Established trees and gardens supporting birds, bats, possums, and other wildlife will be destroyed.

• Property Value Decline - This development undermines the low-density, Federation character that makes Haberfield desirable, significantly reducing surrounding property values. Why is there no compensation offered by the developer?

• Dangerous Precedent - Approving high-rise towers on a heritage site in a predominantly single-storey suburb could open the floodgates for further overdevelopment.
